The New Zealand (NZ) Blackcurrant industry has worked in partnership with the NZ scientific community to develop the genetic and nutrient value of their Blackcurrant plant varieties. NZ Blackcurrant is free of pesticides and grows in an unpolluted area with intense sunlight, which makes it naturally high in phenolic antioxidants. NZ Blackcurrant cultivars have higher anthocyanin and polyphenol levels compared to Blackcurrants from other regions.*
